The work involved is in one (1) contract and consists of the following generally described work: o 3,009 L.F. of 8-inch SDR-26 PVC Sewer Line (Including Add Alternate) o 12 New Precast Manholes (Including Add Alternate) o 24 Sewer Service Connections (Including Add Alternate) Description: The work is in one (1) Contract and consists of the following generally described work: CONTRACT 23-01 SRF WATER LINE EXTENSIONS o 1 Each 75 GPM Water Booster Station (Lower Higgins Creek) o 1 Each 50 GPM Water Booster Station (Canah Hollow) o 949 L.F. 2-inch SDR-17 Class 250 PVC Water Line, Open-cut o 3,063 L.F. 4-inch C900 DR-18, Class 235 PVC Water Line, Open-cut o 3,662 L.F. 4-inch Class 350 DIP Water Line, Open-cut o 30 L.F. 4-inch Class 350 RJDIP Water Line, Open-cut o 7,219 L.F. 6-inch Class 350 DIP Water Line, Open-cut o 600 L.F. 6-inch Class 350 RJDIP Water Line, Open-cut o 60 Each 3/4-inch Service Connections The allotted time for construction of Contract 23-01 is 180 calendar days; liquidated damages for non-completion are $1,000 per calendar day. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following location: J. R. Wauford & Company, Consulting Engineers, Inc., 908 West Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37801 City: Erwin County: Unicoi State/Province: TN The allotted time for construction for this contract is 180 calendar days. Liquidated damages are one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day Pre-qualification information required herein shall be emailed to mattr@jrwauford.com on or before 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Friday, January 24, 2025. Prospective bidders are responsible for confirming receipt of pre-qualification information by calling 865-984- 9638. The prospective bidder shall provide evidence of general ability to perform simi-lar work in a timely manner by submitting the project name, scope of work, allowed and actual time of completion, and a contact person for three previous projects of this gen-eral nature constructed within the past ten (10) years. Alternatively, the prospective bidder shall list previous, specific experience on projects completed for Erwin Utilities Authori-ty in the past ten (10) years. Prospective bidders shall submit evidence of similar projects of at least $1,000,000 value completed in the previous five years to the Engineer before 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025. Evidence shall include experience in gravity sewer main installation. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions for Bidders. The successful bidder is required to furnish both an acceptable performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary.
