**As of February 20, 2025, project was awarded to Hemphill Construction Co., Inc but awarded amount is not available. Warren County Board of Supervisors will receive sealedbids from qualified bidders forthe project identified as WarrenCounty NRCS EWP ErosionControl Project - GROUP 10- Oak Ridge Road, RedwoodRoad, and Smithhart RoadSites. The project includesdrainage improvements andbank stabilization at four (4)sites throughout Warren County as indicated in the drawings,specifications, and other contract documents. The abovegeneral outline of features ofwork does not in any way limitthe responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work andfurnish all parts, labor, equipment, and materials required bythe specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The contract time for the workincluded in this contract is Ninety (90) Calendar Days. TheContract will be subject to liquidated damages of three hundred dollars ($300) per calendar day for each day in defaultafter the stipulated completiondate. The contract time will begin on the date specified in thewritten Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be qualified underMississippi State law and possess a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the MississippiState Board of Public Contractors in a classification such as(a) Highway, Street and BridgeConstruction, (b) Municipal andPublic Works Construction, (c)Excavation, Grading & Drainage or another closely relatedclassification. This Project isexpected to exceed $50,000,therefore the Certificate of Responsibility Number shall bewritten on the outside of thesealed bid envelope. For electronic bids, the COR informationmust be submitted as the firstpage of the PDF attachmentwith the electronic bid submittal. For bids less than $50,000,a Certificate of Responsibilitynumber is not required. Biddershall note on the outside of theenvelope containing the bid thatthe "bid is less than $50,000,CR No. not required". Each bidder must deposit withhis proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equalto five percent (5%) of the totalbid payable to Warren Countyas bid security. The successfulbidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a PaymentBond each in the amount of100% of the contract amountawarded. Bidders shall alsosubmit a current financial statement if requested by WarrenCounty. Attorneys-in-fact whosign Bid Bonds or PaymentBonds and Performance Bondsmust file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy oftheir power of attorney. The Warren County Board ofSupervisors reserves the rightto determine responsible bidders, responsive bids, the lowest and best bid, reject any andall bids, award to the bidderbelieved most advantageousto Warren County, and to waiveany informalities in the bids andbidding process.
