Site work and paving for a civil project in North Richland Hills, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The project consists of reconstructing 400 linear feet of Ruth Road from Glenview Drive to 150 feet south of the intersection of Grant Avenue and Ruth Road in North Richland Hills, Texas. According to the North Richland Hills thoroughfare plan, Ruth Road is designated as a Residential Roadway (R2U). The subject alignment is a two-lane undivided asphalt roadway that is showing numerous signs of distress. The distress consists of longitudinal and lateral cracks, separation, and differential movement. There are medium to large trees present along the alignment with driplines extending over the roadway. It is understood that the roadway will be reconstructed with the same alignment and will not be widened and will be constructed at the same pavement grades. In addition to the pavement reconstruction, it is understood that new water line will be installed during the pavement reconstruction work. The invert depth of the proposed new utility line will be 5 feet or less below the existing pavement grade. It is further understood that the new utility line will be installed using open cut construction.
