The Work of this Section includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Administrative and procedural requirements for quality assurance and quality control. 2. Testing and inspecting services are required to verify compliance with requirements specified or indicated. These services do not relieve Contractor of responsibility for compliance with requirements of the Contract Document. a. Specific quality-assurance and -control requirements for individual construction activities are specified in the Sections that specify those activities. Requirements in those Sections may also cover production of standard products. b. Specified tests, inspections, and related actions do not limit Contractor's other quality-assurance and -control procedures that facilitate compliance with requirements of the Contract Documents. c. Requirements for Contractor to provide quality assurance and control services required by the Owner, the Owner's Project Manager, Architect, or authorities having jurisdiction are not limited by provisions of this Section. d. Specific test and inspection requirements are not specified in this Section. Reference Number 0000372606 The City of New Bedford, Purchasing Department, in conjunction with the Department of Facilities and Fleet Management, is soliciting sealed bids for the Quest Center Interior Renovations project located at 1213 Purchase Street, New Bedford, MA 02740. The work of this contract will require a DCAMM Prime General Contractor. This work will also require a DCAMM filed Sub-Bidders certified in Painting, Resilient Flooring, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, and Acoustic Tile. The bid process and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. Work Included: Provide labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work of this Section, including but not limited to the following: 1. DX Split Heat Pump System. 2. Fan-powered Variable Air Volume Box. 3. Sheet Metal Ductwork. 4. Ductwork Insulation. 5. Hot Water Supply and Return Piping. 6. Piping Insulation. 7. Automatic Temperature Controls. 8. Testing, Adjusting and Balancing. 9. O&M Manuals. 10. Operating Instructions. 11. Coordination drawings and record drawings and similar requirements. 12. Electrical Work.
