**As of March 19th, 2025, the project was awarded to EZ Contracting, LLC, with an awarded amount of $2,390,379.43.** **As of March 19th, 2025, the project was awarded to EZ Contracting, LLC, with an awarded amount of $2,390,379.43.** The work for which proposals are to be received consists of the following: Post Hurricane Ian Stormwater System Damage Repairs . Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on a standard proposal form. Each proposal shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashiers check made payable to the City of Sanibel, or an acceptable Bidders Bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish an acceptable Surety Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (l00%) of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within a period of sixty (60) days following the date set for receiving proposals. The City of Sanibel reserves the right to hold any and all bids for a period of not more than sixty (60) days and said bids shall be and remain valid and in full force and effect during said period. The City of Sanibel reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities. NON-MANDATORY No Pre-Bid Conference. NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER: 5:00 PM, (ET) February 3, 2025, all questions must be submitted in writing to scott.krawczuk@mysanibel.com and received by stated time. The work consists of repairing damages to the stormwater system on Sanibel as specified in these plans and contract documents. The work includes but is not limited to: sediment removal from swales and culverts, repair of catch basin inlets, and repair of pipe end treatments. The complete list of repairs is provided separately, along with a location map. The above work includes all the construction necessary to provide a functioning gravity stormwater management system. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and terms of the Contract. All work under this section shall be performed as specified in the above section of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition, and the Contract Documents, except as modified herein. Contractor shall accurately locate all underground utilities and take the required measures necessary to protect them from damage. All underground utilities shall be kept in service at all times. The contract work provides for the Periwinkle Way Milling and Resurfacing and other related items pertinent and incidental thereto including the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, work and services, ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. B. The work included in this contract is described briefly as follows: City of Sanibel Post Hurricane Ian Stormwater System Damage Repairs C. Construction anticipated start date is April 2025.
