The project consists of but is not limited to: The Phase 2.1 of this project includes new general and premium seating throughout the Dome, in addition to new Suites. Total seating count will approximately be about 12,000 seats. Aisles will be widened with handrails, and seats will be wider. Seating counts and accessibility will be in compliance with ADA. There will be structural, architectural and some infrastructure design in the premium seating areas. This phase will also include an elevator on the west side of the Dome. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contracted. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
