The work is to be carried out at the Centre Métrobus located at 7555, rue Armand-Viau and consists of replacing two (2) oil interceptors and their associated accessories. Under current legislation and standards, the water discharged into municipal drainage systems must be monitored for oil and contaminant concentrations. Due to the nature of the activities carried out in garages, oils, hydrocarbons and many other products are likely to be found in the cleaning water sent to the city network. During the cleaning process, the water must pass through suitable equipment to capture the various contaminants. The equipment must comply with CSA/ULC S656 - Certification requirements for water-oil separators. The Centre Métrobus currently has two oil interceptors (INT-1 and INT-2).
