The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The project will consist of replacement of approximately 24,870 square feet of existing built up roofing membrane, polyiso insulation, cover board, edge metal, coping flashing, cap flashing, wall flashing, curbs, etc. Existing slope is built into the structural concrete roof deck. Existing lightning protection system will be disassembled and reinstalled after roofing and edge/parapet flashing work is completed. Roof drains will be routed-out to nearest elbow to ensure they are operating properly. Strainers will be replaced. K. For the purposes of this document, all references to "Architect" or "Engineer" shall be understood to mean "Designer". The Architect/Engineer is referred to as the Designer throughout these drawings and specifications The Work of this Contract (in general) is comprised of the following: 1. Base bid. A. Replace parapet terminations at walls, re-flash and reseal as required. B. Replace roof at all locations including all accessories, edge metal, copings, counterflashing, etc. Reinstall lightning protection system as required. C. Rout-out existing roof drains to the nearest elbow to ensure proper operation. D. Replace roof drain strainers. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction.
