Grand Concourse Elevator Modernization As of August 4, 2025, the awarded general contractor is seeking Requests for Proposals for the Grand Concourse Court House as follows: 1) Replacement of (16) General Passenger Elevators, (2) Judges Elevators (with card access), (1) Person in Custody Elevator (with security camera), (1) Freight Elevator, and (2) Vertical Platform Lifts at 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx and replacement of associated equipment in elevator machine rooms. 2) Replacement of marble panels at elevator lobby areas. 3) Removal of all existing motors for elevators 1 through 20, associated wiring and conduits, removal of all existing control panel, disconnect switches and transformers in elevator machine rooms. 4) Providing power, wiring, and conduits to new motors for elevators 1-20 and lifts L1-1 & L105F and providing power connections for new AC Units in mechanical rooms. 5) Providing split AC Units for the existing elevator machine room. 6) Providing accessibility in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and all relevant laws, rules and regulations to all areas including, but not limited to, paths of travel.
