The purpose of this project is to restore Centennial Soccer Field 1 by stripping the existing surface, re-grading the site for proper drainage, and installing new sod to ensure a safe, even, and aesthetically pleasing playing surface for the community. This project must be priced using prevailing wage labor rates. The work to be performed by the successful proposer shall be complete on or before July 1st, 2025. Site Preparation: o Delineate the work area using appropriate signage and fencing to ensure safety and limit unauthorized access. o Work area is defined as the existing soccer field and an additional 5 yards (approximately) or as needed for grading purposes. o Strip the existing surface (turf, weeds, and debris) to an approximate depth of 2" (Two Inches) o Remove and properly dispose of all stripped material offsite in compliance with local disposal regulations. o The Village will pre-mark all irrigation heads. Grading: o Install topsoil and regrade the field to achieve a level playing surface and ensure water flows toward designated drainage areas approximately 1-1.9% crown so water is dispersed outward from the center of field. o Ensure soil composition is conducive to turf growth by amending the soil as necessary, including the addition of topsoil where required. Sodding: o Supply high-quality, sports-grade Kentucky Bluegrass sod suitable for soccer field use. o Install sod according to industry standards, using 42" wide big rolls ensuring tight seams and proper coverage to prevent gaps. o Roll and water the sod immediately after installation to establish contact with the soil. o Provide initial watering and maintenance for a period of two weeks post-installation to ensure sod establishment. Clean-Up and Restoration: o Remove all equipment, debris, and waste materials from the site. o Restore any disturbed areas outside the designated work area to their original condition. o Restore and Repair any damage to irrigation system including but not limited to heads, pipes and wiring. o Perform a final walk-through with the Village's project manager to confirm project completion.
