Fred Fletcher Park Retaining Wall Repair for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the Fred Fletcher Park Retaining Wall Repair project. The Project Scope is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following The scope of the Fred Fletcher Park Retaining Wall Repair project (the Project) involves repairing an approximately 30-foot-long section of collapsed retaining wall, a cap atop the wall at a set of steps, and ancillary work at the Amphitheater within Fred Fletcher Park at 820 Clay St, Raleigh, NC 27605, a City of Raleigh public park. Refer to Technical Specifications for completion description of the project scope and limits of work. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract. The installations will be in keeping with the project descriptions and documents provided in the bidding documents for this project. Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an "or-equal" are required within 10 days of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids. With each request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person, street address, phone number, and email address for Bidding point of contact; N. C. contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Prime bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instruction to Bidders. Pursuant to General Statutes of North Carolina Sections 143-128.2 and 143-131, and in accordance with City policy, the City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City's contracting and procurement programs to include Professional Services; Goods and Other Services; and Construction. The undersigned bidder has carefully examined the Form of Contract, the Form of Contract Bonds, the General Conditions, the Supplemental Conditions, the Plans and Specifications, all of which are acknowledged to be part of the proposal and the Proposal Form, and the Bidder has also carefully examined the site of the proposed work. The undersigned further agrees to sign a Contract for the work, if offered within ninety (90) days after receipt of Bids, and to furnish surety as specified, upon failure to do so, agrees to forfeit to the Owner, attached Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid if the base bid exceeds five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000). The Bidder further agrees to provide and furnish all necessary materials, equipment, machinery, and labor necessary to complete the construction of the work in full, in complete accordance with the plans and specifications and the contract documents to the full and entire satisfaction of the City of Raleigh and in accordance with these documents within the time limit specified below.
