The LHA is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed, and insured entities to provide construction services for the plumbing upgrades at the Senior Citizen's Home Property. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment for the plumbing upgrades at the Senior Citizen's Home Property located at 700 Juarez Ave., Laredo TX 78040. When referencing the main building (7-story), the Contractor shall note that the LHA refers to all eighty-eight (88) dwelling units, including all common areas such as the lobby, kitchen/lounge area, laundry rooms, mop sink rooms, and offices. 2.1.1 Contractor shall provide his/her proposal for plumbing upgrades at the main building; the adjacent annex building shall not be included on their proposal. 2.1.2 Contractor must upgrade all sewer and water lines for the main building. 2.1.3 Contractor shall note that the showers will not need to be replaced; Contractor shall only replace the bolt down drain and shower pan. 2.1.4 Contractor shall open the existing walls (composed of plaster with wire mesh) in order to expose the risers. 2.1.5 Contractor shall not utilize old vents; all vents shall be replaced up to 3-ft from the roof. 2.1.6 Contractor shall note that each dwelling unit do not have an independent water heater. Instead, all dwelling units are connected to a commercial water heater located on the 1 st floor mechanical room of the building. 2.1.7 Contractor shall replace the floor drain for each laundry room. There is one floor drain at each laundry room, and there is one laundry room per floor. Totaling seven floor drain on the main building. 2.1.8 Contractor must replace the mop sinks located on each floor. There is one mop sink per floor, totaling seven (7) mop sinks on the main building. 2.1.9 Contractor must replace all floor drains located on each balcony.
