Installation of Street and Drainage Improvements to Dykes Street Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of street and drainage improvements to Dykes Street located in the City of Nahunta, Georgia. All improvements shall be funded by the City of Nahunta's Fiscal Year 2023- 2025 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) as awarded from the Georgia Department of Transportation and from other City funds as required. Street and Drainage Improvements to Dykes Street (0.46 Miles) All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Nahunta in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Nahunta. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing prior to bid being opened by the City of Nahunta. A copy of the Contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the City of Nahunta must be submitted with the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
