FY24 Brazilian Peppertree and Vegetation Removal Question Deadline 02/03/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Online Purpose The selected Contractor(s) will provide all labor, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, disposal, support items, and supervision to perform activities related to and including Brazilian Peppertree and Exotic Tree/Vegetation Removal on select vacant lots which are on the lot mowing program or areas in public rights of way or easements of the City of Cape Coral (City). Species of vegetation to be removed are stated in Part 1, Item 7.0, but Peppertrees make up the bulk of what is removed. 2.0 Intent It is the intent of this contract to fulfill one or more of the following purposes: a. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation to mitigate damage to adjacent developed properties. b. Remove as much exotic and invasive vegetation as possible to allow for unobstructed mowing of all vacant lots. c. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation to curtail the growth of Peppertrees and other exotics Citywide. d. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation to eliminate excess fuel for wildfires when determined appropriate. e. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation to eliminate nesting areas for unwanted vermin when determined appropriate. f. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation to eliminate dumping areas for miscellaneous trash and debris. g. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation to protect City infrastructure from damages. h. Remove exotic and invasive vegetation from isolated/select areas on an as-needed basis.
