The Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners is requesting proposals from licensed and insured marine contractors for the SR-27 Nearshore Artificial Reef Project. The project involves providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and operations for the construction, handling, transport, and deployment of artificial reef materials in the Gulf of Mexico, as outlined in Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Agreement. This project will be funded using Natural Resources Damages Assessment (NRDA) funds and is intended for restoration of natural resources and loss of human use due to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners encourages all segments of the business community to participate in its procurement opportunities, including small businesses, minority/women owned businesses, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The Board does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, or age in the administration of contracts. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and to award the bid that it determines to be in the best interest of Santa Rosa County.
