Maxair Mechanical, LLC has entered a contract with Atlanta Public Schools (APS) as Construction Manager at Risk, and we are seeking competitively sealed bids for the building HVAC improvements and renovations at Garden Hills Elementary School. Anticipated Start Date: May 26th, 2025. Anticipated Completion: July 25, 2026 Project Area: 78,589 sqft All RFIs shall be submitted no later than Friday, January 31, 2025, by close of business. o Majority of Construction will take place during Summer of 2025 & 2026. o No Construction will be performed while students and staff are in the building. o This project will be bonded. Please provide your company's bond rate as an alternate. o Please provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with your sealed bid. o Required subs include Drywall, Ceiling tile, Flooring, Roofing, Painting, and MEP trades. Please read, fill out, sign and return the scope sheet for your respective trade. See attached. o APS and Maxair are strongly encouraging all Minority, Women, or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (MWDBEs) to participate. o Davis-Bacon wages are NOT required. o All mechanical equipment will be pre-purchased by Maxair. o Installing Mechanical and Electrical Contractor shall warrant pre-purchased equipment for a period of one calendar year. o APS policy requires that all contractors, consultants, or vendors providing services on APS premises be fingerprinted and submit to a criminal record check initiated by APS prior to providing services to APS. There is a fee of $45.00 per individual payable by money order associated with the background check. The payment of this fee is the sole responsibility of the contractor, consultant, vendor, or the employing company. Any contract awarded pursuant to this solicitation is contingent upon compliance with this requirement and a satisfactory background check as determined by APS. o All personnel working on site will need to adhere to all Maxair and APS safety guidelines/standards. o The use of tobacco products and other controlled substances on the project site is not permitted.
