Achievement of the goals is encouraged. Summary- The Project consists of building improvements at the WSP's Marysville District Headquarters. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. At building perimeter, demolish existing wood trellises in 4 locations, including foundations down to 1 foot below grade. 2. At building courtyard, selectively demolish wood trellis components, leaving support framing in place. Replace will similar wood components. 3. Patch locations at which wood trellises were attached to building with new stucco. 4. At building facades clad with ceramic tile at wainscot level, clad tile with new phenolic wall panels. Attach panels using exposed fasteners to horizontal galvanized steel ventilated hat channel spaced at 12 inches on center. Secondary purpose of hat channel is to prevent displacement of ceramic tile. Provide closures at edges of, and gaps between, phenolic wall panels to prevent ingress of wall into rainscreen cavity. Provide new stainless steel fabrications at existing window sills and integrate them into phenolic wall panel assemblies. 5. At building facades clad with ceramic tile above wainscot level, clad tile with new wood siding boards. Attach boards using exposed fasteners to horizontal galvanized steel ventilated hat channel spaced at 12 inches on center. Secondary purpose of hat channel is to prevent displacement of ceramic tile. Provide closures at edges of wood siding to prevent ingress of wall into rainscreen cavity. Provide new stainless steel fabrications at existing window sills, and stainless steel flashings at jambs and heads, at windows located within new wood siding. If Alternate Bid Item No. 1 is accepted by the Owner, Project scope will be amended to include additional painting of exterior cement plaster (stucco).
