Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit Fencing Replacement. This is an invitation for bids. The resulting contract is expected to be a firm fixed price construction contract. Project Description: This project will provide conservation work through replacement of a segment of existing boundary fence with new fence to protect and manage the bison, elk, and feral horse herds within the South Unit of the park. The existing fence is approximately 6-feet in height and comprised of wood posts, steel pipe posts, steel U-channel and T-posts carrying livestock grade woven wire mesh fencing. New fence shall be constructed to a height of 7-0 and comprised of galvanized steel pipe posts carrying heavy duty livestock rated woven wire mesh. Two gate structures shall be included in the Base Bid scope of work for construction. Length of new fence construction and existing fence removal shall be approximately 1.44 miles (7600 L.F.) under a Base Bid line item and as Bid Additive, subject to availability of funds, continue with new fence construction of an additional 0.56 miles (2920 L.F.) (distances approximated from NPS performed survey and county available LiDAR topographic surface). Project Location: Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit, Medora, North Dakota aligning west bound Interstate 94 from the Little Missouri River bridge to East River Road (park entry road) located within mile markers 24, 25 and 26. MAGNITUDE of Project: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A bid guarantee is required 20%. Bid bond is required to be submitted on a Standard Form 24. A copy of the bid guarantee shall be emailed with your bid package. Performance and Payment bonds/protection in the amount of 100% of final contract award amount.
