Renovation of a municipal facility in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This fire alarm renewal project will carry out the replacement of the end-of-life fire alarm system. The renewal will resolve pre-existing code compliance issues so that the new system will be designed and constructed to meet current BC Building Code. The main building at the OC is a high-profile public building housing District operations staff, muster areas, workshops, vehicle repair shop, materials storage, offices and locker spaces. The building was constructed in the mid 1990’s and is the base of operations for approximately Three hundred (300) staff. The Work will be conducted in an operating facility and in spaces occupied by District staff. The successful Bidder will work with the District as the Prime Contractor to manage the project in compliance with all best practices including Work Safe BC multi employer workplace legislation and will be responsible for site Health and Safety.
