Question Cut Off Date: 1/28/2025 04:30:00 PM (CT) Question Cuttoff Date & Time The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed contractor to furnish and install radon mitigation equipment at the following locations on IDOTs Ames South Complex; Sign Shop Trades Building Auction Building Repair Shop Contract Award: One contract will be awarded for all items. All items are tied. Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity. Estimated project start date- 02/15/2025 (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date- 03/31/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids) Taxes: This project is exempt from state sales tax. Project Timeline: Start and completion dates listed in this solicitation are desired dates. Bidders are welcome to propose other reasonable dates for DOT consideration based on but not limited to; lead time for materials, beginning or ends of seasonal periods, coordination and availability of subcontractors. If new dates are proposed, please see attribute #7. Communication: Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation. All questions must be directed solely to the Purchasing Agent listed in the bid opportunity.
