Site work and paving for a civil project in Fairmont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work consists of installation of approximately 72 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main, 2065 liner feet of 8-inch ductile water main, 1102 linear feet of 10- inch ductile iron water main and fire hydrants, valve vaults and new water services. Install approximately 2247 linear feet of 10-inch PVC sanitary mains and new sanitary services. There will also be road resurfacing, pavement patching and landscape. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond in the amount of Ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid, payable to the City of Joliet. Bid Security: 10% Performance Security: 100% For the Fairmont project area, all work, as shown in the Plans, must be substantially complete by Monday, August 18, 2025. Final Completion: September 8, 2025. The Contractor shall not commence work under this contract until he has obtained and submitted both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment bond to the City and such bonds have been approved by the City. Such bonds shall cover such performance, labor or materials used in the work whether by the Contractor or by any subcontractor. Said bonds shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the contract and during the term of any guaranty or warranty period required by the Contract Documents. The performance bond shall be conditioned on the full and faithful performance of the contract according to its terms and shall be in an amount of ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the contract price. The bonds shall be filed within ten (10) calendar days of acceptance of the bidder's proposal by the City. The bonds unless otherwise specified by the Purchasing Manager, shall be 100% of the total contract price. The form of all bonds shall be subject to the approval of the Corporation Counsel of the City.
