https://www.star-telegram.com/news/state/texas/article299176115.html Construction in San Antonio's downtown area is scheduled to begin Monday, reducing traffic to two lanes for a month. Here's where, and what to know about the incoming project. The Texas Department of Transportation's work is part of the San Antonio Interstate 35 and Interstate 10 downtown repair project. According to a Friday news release, southbound I-35 will be reduced to two lanes from Martin Street to Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. while construction crews complete joint repairs, which are needed to ensure the pavement remains stable amid San Antonio's wide range of weather conditions. Lane closures will remain in place for 24 hours a day until the repairs are completed in about a month. TxDOT expects the work to continue through the end of Feb. 2025, and encourages drivers to "plan ahead for potential delays."
