Construction of the Landscape Enhancement at the Hattiesburg Public Schools, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. All labor, materials and equipment to perform Landscape Enhancement for the Hattiesburg Public School District including: All labor, materials and equipment to perform Landscape Enhancement for the Hattiesburg Public School District including: Site Work, Grading, Conc. Pavers, Metal Sculptures, Tree Maintenance, Landscape, Irrigation (includes Elec. and plumbing), Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, only upon the blank bid forms provided with the drawings and general conditions and must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid. Said security to be forfeited, as liquidated damages, not penalty, by a bidder who may be awarded the contract, but who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract and post the required performance and payment bonds in the form and amount, and within the time specified. The bid bond, or the certified check, if used in lieu thereof, shall be payable unconditionally to the City of Hattiesburg. Bids on the project must be received on or before the time specified above, and no bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time and date for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The Hattiesburg Public School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. *A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Tuesday February 4, 2025 at 10:30 am at the parking lot in front of the Hattiesburg Public School District Offices at 301 Mamie Street, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to walk the project sites and answer any questions. This meeting will last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Bids without a representative present at the Pre-Bid Meeting will not be opened.
