Reference Number 0000373219 The work under this contract consists of providing all necessary labor, material and equipment required for the replacement of the biological nitrogen removal integrated fixed film activated sludge (BNR IFAS) media and the mixers in the aeration tanks at the Mamaroneck Water Resource Recovery Facility. Modifications to the aeration tank walls and sieves will also be conducted under this project. Work will include all mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, and other appurtenances as necessary. The work to be performed under this Contract and in accordance with the specifications consists of the furnishing of all equipment, superintendents, labor, skill, material and all other items necessary to rehabilitate, repair, and replace the IFAS media system and aeration tanks at the Mamaroneck Water Resource Recovery Facility in Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York, as shown, specified and required for a complete system. The work to rehabilitate, repair, and replace the IFAS media system and aeration tanks includes but is not limited to: a. Remove of and dispose IFAS media, b. Clean and inspect Aeration Tanks for damage and failing equipment, c. Repair walls and cover Aeration tanks walls in shotcrete, d. Replace influent sluice gates, e. Remove, repair and replace sieves, supports, and connections, f. Modify the Zone 1 baffle wall, g. Replace influent duckbill valves, h. Replace anoxic zone mixing system (mixers, masts, and davit cranes), i. Remove and replace process air pipe and components, j. Replace mud valves, k. Add sieves to protect groundwater relief valves, l. Replace IFAS media m. Provide for the construction and installation of a new sodium hydroxide storage and feed system and make control changes to the methanol system.
