Question Deadline 02/04/2025 at 5:00 PM MT The purpose of this street project is to reconfigure Garden Avenue from it's existing 2 (two) travel lanes in each direction with a turning lane in the center, to a one travel lane in each direction with a center turn lane collector street. The area of the two travel lanes that are to be removed, will be repurposed to improve sidewalks and landscape along the street and to add an adjacent multi-use pathway. In addition to aesthetic improvements, a new underground drainage system will be constructed to take stormwater from the City Right-of-Way and to convey it to the nearby Soldier Creek. The intended overall impact of this project will be fewer cars on the road and reduced travel speeds, as well as less conflicting car movements. The project is currently broken up into two phases. The first phase of the project is the "base" scope of work and the second phase of work is the "bid-add alternate". The bid-add alternate may be added to the project depending on prices and current budget. The City reserves the right to award, or not award, the bid-add alternate depending on budgetary restraints.
