Athens Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) will be accepting proposals for Lawn Care Maintenance for all AMHA owned and managed properties. The proposal should include a planned program of lawn care maintenance for the 2025 mowing season. Properties are located in Athens, Nelsonville, The Plains, Chauncey, Jacksonville, Buchtel, and Glouster. Contact Zack Dye at 740-592-4481 or zackd@athensmha.org if you have any questions. Mowing service will include: General cleanup of trash and debris and mowing of yards and removal of grass clippings from sidewalks, parking area and lots. Contractor Note: (In the City of Athens a mowing contractor is prohibited by Athens City Code to blow grass clippings into or onto any street or sidewalk at any time).Trimming of grass and weeds along flower beds, sidewalks, curbs, trees, shrubs, buildings, fences, poles, parking lot bumper blocks, and other fixed obstacles. Mowing and trimming of all grass and weeds shall occur weekly and is anticipated to occur between the months of March through the end of October and possible November of 2024. All proposals submitted must include: 1. A proposal for lawn care maintenance. 2. Furnishing of all labor, materials, and tools required to complete the work in a timely and workmanship like manner. 3. Furnish copies of proof of Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance Certificates. 4. A certified statement that the firm is not debarred, suspended or otherwise prohibited from professional practice by any federal, state, or local agency. 5. Proof the firm is registered to do work in the City of Athens. 6. Section 3 Action Plan and Certifications in accordance with AMHA's Section 3 Policy, Procedures and Contractors Certifications(included in packet). AMHA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. AMHA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
