At roof areas, A1, B1, &C1 clean/prep and coat with specified Reinforced Acrylic Fluid Applied Roof System. Apply Silicone topcoat minimum 4' from center of all roof drains or areas of standing water. At existing parapet stone copings, apply manufactures liquid flashing to top and roof side face of coping stone, protect front side of stone coping from runs and drips. At roof areas, E1-3, F1 G2, tear off existing roof assembly down to deck. Patch and repair as needed. Remove all existing metal copings, roof edge gutters, etc. Install new roof system consisting of two layers of 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation, first layer mechanically attached over steel deck and fully adhered over concrete deck, and second layer fully adhered. Install new fully adhered1/2" cover board. Install new two ply modified bitumen "Cool Roof:" system. Provide all required flashing and pipe penetrations assemblies for new 20-year NDL warranted roof system. Provide new prefinished metal copings, roof edge, gutter, down spouts, and other metal fabrication required for flashing, counterflashing, through wall receivers, and penetrations. All new counterflashing, receivers, and expansion joints to be stainless steel unless visible from the ground. Estimated construction cost is approximately $11,000,000.00. There is one Alternate for this project. Proposals shall include a 7.5% Owner's Contingency Allowance based on Proposer's costs proposal on a separate line item on the Proposal form. This Allowance is not to be included in the Base Proposal but will be included in the contract amount at the appropriate time. Only the Owner may use of this allowance during construction. Any Allowance remaining at the end of construction will be retained by the City of Fort Worth. Refer to the evaluation matrix for the selection of the Best Value Proposer in the Instructions. The Business Equity participation goal is 5.99%. Refer to the Request for Proposal documents for detailed Business Equity compliance information. The applicable documents must be submitted by all Proposers no later than the third City business day after Proposals are opened, exclusive of the opening date. Business Equity information may be submitted with the Proposal. Failure to submit the required business equity documentation will result in the Proposal being considered Non-Responsive. Non-Responsive proposals will not be reviewed further.
