Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY The Township of West Deptford reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township of West Deptford, in accordance with applicable law. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of West Deptford in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Township of West Deptford in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Townshp of West Deptford in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. If you are an interested contractor and wish to be listed as a bidder, please notify our editorial staff at addtobidlist@constructconnect.com. 1.01 DESCRIPTION In general, the work on this project ("Well No. 7 Generator Installation") consists of the replacement of an existing emergency standby generator at the Well No. 7 site located in the Township of West Deptford, Gloucester County, New Jersey. 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The work on this project consists of the following major components of work: 1. Provide demolition, removal, and disposal of the following equipment (comprising, but not necessarily limited to): o Existing gas meter and regulator, as well as any gas piping entering the building o Existing generator inside building o Existing Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) inside building, o Existing electrical service equipment, including service drop, meter, main disconnect and ATS enclosure circuit breaker. o Raised concrete pad beneath existing generator 2. Provide a new standby generator including, but not limited to, the following major items: o Traffic control (as necessary), o Concrete pad for generator, o 300kW natural gas-powered generator and sound-attenuating enclosure, o New conduit ductbank and cables from the existing well house to the generator enclosure, o New electrical service heads, drop connection and service entrance circuit breaker, o New electrical meter and CT cabinet, o New 480Y/277V, 600A bus main distribution panel board, o New 480Y/277V, 600A rated, open transition NEMA 3R automatic transfer switch, o New internal conduit and cables within well house as shown on plans, o New natural gas service meter, regulator and piping to existing building, o New gas piping from street to existing building, and from building to new generator, o Reconnect existing gas unit heater, o Patch existing concrete floor at removed generator; match existing floor elevation, o Patch and seal all building penetrations no longer in use, 3. Provide testing, startup, and operator training for new generator and equipment. 4. Provide site clearing, grading, and improvements. 5. Provide site and work area restoration. 6. Coordination with utility operators to ensure continued operation of facility (if needed) for the duration of work. 7. Management and off-site disposal of debris, construction waste, and generated debris using a State approved disposal facility 8. Project coordination, submittals, building permits, testing, and related administration and support activities. Every request for such interpretation should be made in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the final date fixed for receiving bids.
