Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project will replace the bridge carrying Route 12B over Oriskany Creek and the replacement of the Route 12B over Unnamed Creek Culvert, which will become bridge size. This project also includes the reconstruction of Route 12B between Furnace Street and Route 233, and the addition of a multi-use trail in the Town of Kirkland, Oneida County. NYSDOT Region: 02 MOHAWK VALLEY The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Fall 2026. Construction is expected to begin in Winter 2026/2027.
