Macon Bibb County is looking to construct sidewalks along Barrington Hall Drive from the west side of Cambridge Way to west of 797 Barrington Hall Drive. A sidewalk will be constructed on the north/west side of Barrington Hall Drive from the westside ADA ramp at landing pad at Cambridge Way to Tivoli Place. The sidewalk will then be constructed on the south side of Barrington Hall Drive from Tivoli Place to the golf course crosswalk west of 797 Barrington Hall Drive. ADA ramps and crosswalks are required at the falling locations: 1. ADA ramp and landing on the northeast corner of Hampton Way with a High emphasis crosswalk to the sidewalk on the north/west side of Barrington Hall Drive. 2. ADA ramps and standard crosswalk at Hampton Way west side. 3. ADA ramp and landing on the northeast corner of High Ridge Drive with a High emphasis crosswalk to the sidewalk on the north/west side of Barrington Hall Drive. 4. ADA ramps and standard crosswalks at both roadways of Winsor Way. 5. ADA ramp and landing on the northeast corner of Greenview Terrace with a High emphasis crosswalk to the sidewalk on the north/west side of Barrington Hall Drive. 6. ADA ramp and landing on the northeast corner of Princeton Drive with a High emphasis crosswalk to the sidewalk on the north/west side of Barrington Hall Drive. 7. ADA ramps and standard crosswalks at both roadways of Sand Trap Place. 8. ADA ramp and landing on the southwest corner of Tivoli Place with a High emphasis crosswalk to the sidewalk on the north/west side of Barrington Hall Drive. 9. ADA ramp and landing on the Northeast corner of Fosters Green with a High emphasis crosswalk to the sidewalk on the south side of Barrington Hall Drive. 10. ADA ramps and standard crosswalks at both roadways of Barrington Place Way All crosswalks are thermoplastic. Sidewalks will be constructed with 3000 psi concrete and be 5 feet wide, 4 inches thick. All driveways and ADA Ramps will be constructed with 3000 psi concrete and be 6 inches thick. Location of ADA Ramps will be identified in the field. All ADA ramps and detectable warning surfaces will be included on cost of the sidewalk. Sidewalks will match the back edge of the curb and have a maximum cross slope of 2% draining to the curb. Transition all sidewalks around mailboxes and storm drainage inlets. Driveways will need to be reconstructed within the right of way for sidewalk crossing to meet ADA requirements. Sidewalk control joints shall consist of a slot or groove, at least 1 inch (1") in depth and one-fourth inch (1/4") in width and placed at a 5-foot spacing.
