Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Dolgeville, New York. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project will replace the bridge carrying State Route 29 over the East Canada Creek in the Village of Dolgeville, Herkimer & Fulton County. The project will also address issues associated with bridge width, vertical clearance on the bridge, bridge alignment, resiliency, and the intersection with Rte 167 on the western approach to the bridge. NYSDOT Region: 02 MOHAWK VALLEY The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Winter 2026/2027. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2027. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2028/2029. As of October 04, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026/2027. NYDOT : NYS Rte 29 Over East Canada Crk, (BIN 1051170) Herkimer and Fulton County *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
