Such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the Plans, the City of Salinas Standard Specifications, or these Special Provisions, shall be performed, placed, constructed, and/or installed for a complete project. In addition to electronic Bid submittals, sealed original hard copies as listed in Part A of these Specifications (to be used for verification) must also be sent via courier service, mailed, or delivered within 5 working days after Bid opening date. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the forfeiture of the Bidder's rank in the Bid process. SCOPE OF WORK The work shall include but is not limited to the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, including all incidentals and appurtenances required for the removal, demolition, disposal, and the construction of the Chinatown Navigation Center Improvement Project, as shown on the Plans and as specified herein these Specifications. The project covers the renovation of interiors to the existing building and minor site electrical work. o Replace flooring throughout the building. o Repaint interiors. o Renovate shower rooms and toilet rooms including MEP o Repair deficiencies in roof drain system. o Slurry seal of existing asphalt paving o Addition of prefabricated shower trailer to the yard o General Contractor shall construct/install a temporary shower/restroom facility prior to the start of work on the Chinatown Navigation Center (CNC) building renovation work. The General Contractor shall make a complete submittal to the City and The Community Development Department for review and approval prior to initiating any construction on site. General Contractor shall be responsible for any and all calculations required by the City's Community Development for this facility. o Temporary shower/restroom facility shall contain: o Shower trailer with 3 units to be provided by the City o 3 portable restroom units with hand washing station to be provided by General Contractor. o 1 fully ADA/California Building Code compliant shower/restroom unit with hand washing station to be provided by General contractor o All required stairs and accessible ramps complying with ADA and California Building Code, Chapter 11B accessibility requirements to be provided by the General Contractor o Coordinate location, ramps/landings and all utility points of connection with the City. An existing site map, provided by the City, with sewer line locations has been provided as a reference. o General Contractor shall be responsible for the permits and installation of the shower trailer unit. o Showers/restrooms shall be available for use by residents of the site for the duration of the project. o Portable restrooms and ADA shower/restroom unit shall be removed after completion of the Project; site shall be returned to original condition with all utilities capped and sealed, flush with pavement where applicable. o Shower trailer provided by the City shall remain connected and operational at the project site upon project completion.
