Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in El Paso, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work under this contract shall be for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation and services for the construction and installation of the following work: Replace 54 existing non-operational valves, up to 30 inches in size, in El Paso Water's (EPWater) existing city-wide water distribution system with new gate valves, piping modifications, fittings, couplings, manholes where indicated in the drawings and incidentals by open cut method. The project involves removing 54 non-operational valves of various sizes within the EPWater distribution system and replacing them with new valves, piping, and appurtenances. Piping to be used for the project shall be PVC C900 CL 305 piping for sizes 12 inch and under, SCCP connection for 24-inch watermain, and ductile iron connection to 30-inch watermain. The relocated valves will be placed within city rights-of-way or utility easements. The project includes removal and replacement of existing pavement, handicap ramps, sidewalks, compaction, dewatering the existing watermain that is shut down temporarily and out of service, flowable backfill and concrete curb and gutter. The project includes restoration of landscaping, trench safety per OSHA requirements, disinfection, project-wide traffic control, construction water and power, dust control, project management, providing 3-gallon water jugs to customers during shut down, mobilization, demobilization, housekeeping and project videotaping for a complete and operable project as intended by the drawings and specifications.
