Demolition, site work and renovation of a retail development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a retail development; for the renovation of a retail development; and for site work for a retail development.

The Scope of work includes necessary demolition and renovation of the space at 401 King Street. The existing space will be converted into five (5) separate retail spaces for vendors, as per the plans and contract documents. CONSTRUCTION COST RANGE $250,000-$300,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Interior demolition of the space at 401 King Street including the existing ceilings, interior partitions, tile finishings on demising walls, plumbing and electrical stub outs, and existing mechanical ductwork. The space will be converted into five (5) separate retail spaces requiring the installation of wood-framing partitions and a wood storefront with polycarbonate and acrylic panels, seismic systems for wood walls, and the fabrication of custom wood slider doors and display units. New lighting and ductwork will also be required in the space. The City has established goals for both Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE). An MBE is a small business owned and controlled by a minority. A WBE is a small business owned and controlled by a woman. The minority or woman must own fifty-one percent (51%) of the business and they must control the management and daily operations of the business in order to qualify. The goals for this Contract are a 20% combined MBE and WBE participation. These goals will be applied to the overall Contract.
