JAXPORT is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ's) from Professional Engineering Consultant Firm's interested in providing MARINE ENGINEERING CONSULTING AND DESIGN SERVICES for the Jacksonville Port Authority. JAXPORT will utilize an external Professional Marine Engineering Consultant Firm to augment and support JAXPORT's staff. In addition, the selected Consultant Firm will perform special services for the Engineering Department, on a work order basis. These services are more completely described in Section 3 - Scope of Services of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Examples of the work to be performed while not all inclusive, include professional architecture, surveying, marine engineering design services and other related services as described herein required to support the Senior Director of Engineering and Construction and other JAXPORT staff in the construction, rehabilitation, and renovation activities pertaining to the following marine terminal facilities or structures: wharfs, docks, berths, bulkheads, dock-piles, dredge material management areas, dock-rails and other similar facilities or structures located at JAXPORT's marine terminals. Although the selected Consultant Firm may provide all services as required through its own staff, some other specialty services may be added through sub-consulting on a project by project basis.
