proposal is for the hauling and disposal of approximately 4,000 tons of sludge from the Town of Wallkill Wastewater Treatment Plant with the following characteristics: o Belt Filter Press Dewatered Sludge (R) 16% Total Solids In addition to the sludge, hauling and disposal of approximately 50 tons of grit and screenings is also required. For sludge transportation and disposal, a minimum of three (3) dump trailers is required. One dump trailer to be parked in the building at all times to collect the sludge, an empty dump trailer to be stored on site at all times to be rotated into the building as needed and a third dump trailer to be delivered when a full dump trailer is removed. Full trailers are typically collected twice a week but adjustments may be required based on demand. For grit and screenings transportation and disposal, the vendor will provide the Town with a roll-off dumpster to remain on site. The roll-off dumpster will be serviced on an as needed basis. Bid amount should be price per ton; delivery or rental charge for dumpsters and fuel charges are to be figured into the price per ton.
