The Work consists of the removal and replacement of eighteen (18) concrete steps at Kitsap Transit's Bremerton Transportation Center (BTC) located at: 10 Washington Ave. Bremerton, WA 98337. The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the existing stairs, provide new concrete treads to match existing, prepare site for new stair treads, install new treads, and clean up work site. Work must be accomplished in a manner that maintains a pedestrian traffic route. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, permits, and any other incidentals needed to complete the Scope of Work. An explanation of the project and solicitation requirements will be provided with a question and answer session to follow. Following the project explanation, prospective Contractors will be allowed to tour the Work site with Kitsap Transit staff. Contractors should meet in the Southwest part of the main parking lot behind the existing guard railing. While attendance is not mandatory, Bidders are encouraged to attend. This meeting will provide prospective Bidders an opportunity to seek clarification and raise concerns related to the Solicitation. This meeting will also provide an opportunity to view current conditions at the Work Site. All questions, requests for information, request for clarifications, and Pre-Bid material substitutions, must be submitted in writing and received by 5:00 PM January 31, 2025 via e-mail: patrickr@kitsaptransit.com.
