The City of Ann Arbor, Michigan, is requesting proposals from licensed and insured overhead door installation firms in order to replace two (2) existing overhead rolling steel doors and operators at the City of Ann Arbor's Solid Waste Transfer Station. The services required include: removing the two existing rolling steel doors and operators (and hauling them away), installing two new overhead rolling steel doors (dimensions need to be verified by Contractor, but the doors are estimated to be 16-18 feet wide and 26-28 feet high), installing two new 2 HP 208v 3-Phase heavy industrial duty gear reduced hoist operators (with right handed chain hoist), installing new heavy duty vertical tracks and c-channel, and any other necessary tasks required to make sure that the overhead rolling steel doors/operators are fully functional and structurally sound. The replacement doors should match the color of the current doors. The existing operator for the doors is a Manaras OGH 2HP 208v 3-Phase. The Contractor is to verify proper operation of all door components including all electrical switches, connections, keypads, electric motors, chain hoists, belts, and safety items. Contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for installation of this overhead rolling steel door (including a Skytrak and/or Scissor Lift). A fire watch is to be put in place, and the area where the work is done must be taped off and coned for safety purposes. Once the doors and operators have been properly installed, Contractor is to remove all debris associated with this project and clean the work area.
