Renovation of an educational facility in McDonough, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Application of new thermoplastic-polyolefin (TPO) roofing system, on new cover board, over the existing modified-bitumen roof system. Removal of existing gutters, downspouts, expansion joint covers, roof edging is required for new installation. New metal gutter and downspouts, along with new metal roof edge, metal expansion joint covers, and HVAC duct flashing is to be installed. Where damaged existing roof insulation has been found, it will be required to be removed and replaced with a new polyisocyanurate board insulation. Henry County Schools - Roof Recover - Group B: Union Grove High School, 120 E Lake Rd, McDonough, GA 30252 Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
