Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility; for the addition of a 38,000-square-foot, four-story above grade, 95-unit elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.

Shawnessy Commons is an operational 81-unit Supportive Seniors Living facility located at 30 Shannon Pl SW in Calgary. The residence is highly mobility focused with over 80% of residents requiring some means of mobility aid (walkers, wheelchairs, scooters etc.). Silvera have been undertaking preliminary design and functional programming exercises since 2020. Clark Builders has been engaged by Silvera for Seniors to complete a multi-phased, multi-year building modernization and interior upgrade. The scope of potential work related to this tender includes, but not limited to: Renovation of Resident Suites including replacement of existing bathtubs with new shower units. Upgrade of washroom mechanical fixtures Upgrade to Suite finishes including flooring and paint There are currently four (4) suites approved for renovations with another six (6) suites in review. Suite renovations will run simultaneously with other renovations throughout the building, however, will constitute their own project. If chosen subcontractor is working within Silvera Shawnessy on other Clark Builders projects, the subcontractor may use their existing manpower to complete the suite work, however, neither project shall be delayed due to manpower allocations. Full list of scope of work and phases have not been finalized and will be issued for tendering in multiple stages through a pre-qualified bidders list.
