Description: Hamilton County Schools (HCS) seeks to contract with a qualified, experienced, and professional Vendor to chemically treat HVAC systems at HCS facilities. SUMMARY OF SCOPE 1.1 Hamilton County Schools (HCS) seeks to contract with a qualified, experienced, and professional Vendor to chemically treat HVAC systems at HCS facilities. 2.0 DETAILED SCOPE OF SERVICES 2.1 The services and products provided by the Vendor shall include, but not be limited to the following provisions: Successful bidder shall be responsible for safe storage and containment of all chemicals. No chemicals shall be stored overnight on the owner's property. Chemicals and containers brought on site must be supervised at all times. Bidders must be properly licensed to store, handle, and transport all required chemicals. 2.2 Cancellation: Either party may cancel the contract by providing thirty (30) day written notice. All expenses incurred to cancellation date will be honored. 2.3 All bidders must have at least five (5) years of operating experience. Bidder must include a minimum of three (3) references with bid. Include contact name, phone number, email address and dollar value of contract. 2.4 Water Treatment Bid Specifications 2.4.1 Treatment Program - The Closed Recirculation Systems - (Hot & Chilled Water) to be treated for corrosion inhibition and microbiological growth. Closed Loop treatment program to utilize a liquid blend of buffered sodium nitrite with copper corrosion inhibitors. Program control range to be kept as follows: For closed water loops operating at a temperature less than 180 degrees F - a range of 500 & 1000 ppm measured as sodium nitrite. For closed water loops operating at a temperature greater than 180 degrees F - a range of 1500 & 2000 ppm measured as sodium nitrite. System Volumes to be calculated and allowances for leakage to compensate for 3 complete system turn-over per year. 2.4.2 Equipment Requirements o In cases where no provisions are available to add treatment to a system the vendor must be equipped with the means to add product to any such system. That is to be equipped with a portable pot feeder, pump or other means. o If a currently installed and operating pot feeder should fail to function properly then the vendor is responsible to provide other means as listed above. 2.4.3 Service Requirements o Regular service visits must be performed on a monthly basis. Each system must be tested and reviewed for proper operation and control. If testing reveals the need for additional treatment the vendor is required to have treatment available and is responsible for adding it at the time of service. o Vendor must submit monthly reports on each system - reports to be e-mailed to SWAFFORD_S@HCDE.ORG o In addition to monthly service the vendor must be available for quarterly review meetings to discuss program performance and improvements. 2.4.4 Training Requirements o The vendor shall provide training that includes chemical testing, reporting and understanding chemical program results, safe handling of chemical products and general knowledge of closed and open recirculation systems.
