The project consists of draining two existing ponds, breaching the earthen embankments, installing temporary bypass pipes and diversion channels; constructing new concreter riser and box outlet structures, low flow drain, trash racks, and outlet protection; backfilling and raising the existing earthen embankments up to 3 feet; restoring approximately 280 feet of stream; installing a 370 feet regenerative stormwater conveyance outfall channel; grading and paving approximately 2,800 feet of greenway and associated appurtenances. Proposers are responsible for checking the source for the project documents up to the bid opening date to ensure all contract documents are accurate and complete. Contractors offering a proposal on this project must be licensed to do the specified type of contracting in the State of North Carolina. All bids must include a non-collusive affidavit. Contractors offering a proposal on this project must comply, and must ensure that their subcontractors comply, with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes, "Verification of Work PR1303 00200-2 Twin Lakes Dam Rehabilitation Authorization," and must provide documentation or sign affidavits or any other documents requested by the Town of Cary demonstrating such compliance. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders.
