Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Citrus Heights, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This scope of services includes engineering design, environmental review and documentation, regulatory permitting assistance, right-of-way engineering, utility coordination, survey, potholing, community engagement, and bidding/construction support services. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Citrus Heights Arcade-Cripple Creek Trail Mariposa Extension Project (Project) is a state funded Active Transportation Program (ATP) grant project. The Mariposa Extension Project is the next phase in the City's vision for a citywide trail network and will extend the existing 3.4 mile Arcade-Cripple Creek Trail by another 0.5 miles west along Arcade Creek between Sayanora Drive and Mariposa Avenue. Existing site conditions include native vegetation and riparian habitat that is currently inaccessible to the public due to overgrown vegetation, lack of facilities, multiple creek crossings, and lack of an accessible entrance. The Class 1 Trail will construct another 2,450 LF of a 10' wide pavement section with 2' decomposed granite shoulders on either side. (See Appendix A, B & C for more information). Additional improvements associated with this Project include four creek crossings, a Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at the Sayanora Drive at-grade crossing, trail lighting, signage and striping, ADA compliant curb ramps, drainage improvements, landscaping, etc. A Project Layout Plan is attached as Appendix A, Typical Project Cross Sections as Appendix B, and selected portions of the original ATP grant application (including various diagrams, maps and more detailed information regarding the project) is attached at Appendix C.
