Reference Number 0000285714 Question Acceptance Deadline 17-Feb-2025 01:30:00 PM EST Bid Intent Deadline 21-Feb-2025 12:00:00 PM EST Job Location HWY 401, Choate Road Road Name Highway 401 Choate Road, Ganaraska River Bridge Re Program Year 2025-2031 Group WP Number 4068-14-00 Project Classification Construction Administration Purchase Type Duration: 6 years A Construction contract administration service assignment is required for Major Capital Contract 2024-4057 Highway 401 Choate Road Ganaraska River Bridge Replacements, and hot mix patch repairs on Highway 401 As a minimum, the General Structural Specialist shall visit the site as required during structural works to meet the terms of the inspections described herein and in accordance with the CAIS requirements. The General Structural Specialist must also be available on-call for immediate assistance to the CA to respond to critical issues. The General Structural Specialist shall attend the site during all critical structural operations identified by the CA. The General Structural Specialist services shall include but are not limited to the following: - Provide guidance and direction to the technical inspection staff to ensure the appropriate inspection tasks are completed as required and the contract submission review process has been followed. Copy CA and MTO on all relevant details. - Review submissions by the Structural Steel Coating Specialist and Structural Steel Fabrication Specialist. Work with these staff to ensure they are meeting required inspection dates and deliverable timelines. - Confirm, based on periodic reviews and field visits, that materials and processes used for structural items of work are in conformance with the Contract Drawings, the Contract Documents, and the Working Drawings. Report any discrepancies to the CA and MTO. - Review of all submissions and shop drawings to address any necessary follow up items and to ensure that they are in conformance with the Contract Drawings, the Contract Documents, and the Working Drawings. Report any discrepancies to the CA and MTO. Check for compliance with all submissions as the work progresses onsite. Ensure submissions are received prior to related work proceeding and inform the Contract Administrator if submission requirements have not been met prior to the related work commencing.
