The Virginia Department of Transportation (Herein Referred to as "vdot") is Soliciting Bids From Qualified Firms to Prepare Subgrade Using Soil Stabilization on Route 803 in Pittsylvania County. Period of Contract: From Date of Award Through June 20, 2025 (Nonrenewable) Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Robert Dowdle at Robert.Dowdle@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5PM EST on January 31, 2025. The scope of work includes a 12" manipulation of the subgrade with mixed in place being the preferred method of applying the hydraulic cement at 60lbs per SYD. Contractor shall perform a minimum of two (2) depth test sections. Route 803 (Hawkins Road) is 1.4 Miles long and desired width is 17". The section begins at intersection of Route 802 and ends 1.4 miles N of Route 802 (Hodnetts Mill Road). This road shall be completed by June 20, 2025.
