Site work and new construction of a residential development in Little Rock, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The City of Little Rock Department of Housing and Neighborhood Programs is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to construct one (1) single-family structure located at 3720 Zion St., Little Rock, AR 72204 as part of the HOME Investment Partnership. Questions Due Date: Feb 7th 2025, 11:30 AM CST Online Portal Pre-Bid Discussion Meeting N/A A. This bid shall be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder(s) who meets all specified requirements, and who has the absolute capability to provide the required services. Responses to this bid solicitation will be used by the City of Little Rock to determine if the vendor has the appropriate experience, licensures, and qualifications to be considered for the work. B. The contract term will be 120 days. Liquidated damages will occur if work is not completed within the specified timeframe, weather permitting. C. The vendor must have a business license to operate in the State of Arkansas. E. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid. F. The City of Little Rock Treasury Management Division will determine validity of all business licenses. G. Bidder must provide a signed copy of the Combined Certification for Contracting with the City of Little Rock form prior to contract award. All city construction or demolition bids awarded that are $50,000 or more require a Bid Bond of 5.0 percent (%) of the total bid submission. This requirement can be satisfied by cashier's check drawn upon a bank or trust company doing business in this state of Arkansas, or by a corporate bid bond (see form at end of Scope of work). Again, the Bid Bond is not necessary if bid is less than $50,000. requires contracting for construction or facility improvements, shall follow its own requirements relating to bid guarantees, performance bonds, and payment bonds, except for contracts or subcontracts exceeding $20,000. For contracts or subcontracts exceeding $20,000, the Federal agency may accept the bonding policy and requirements of the grantee provided the Federal agency has made a determination that the Government's interest is adequately protected. If such a determination has not been made, the minimum requirements shall be as follows: 1. A performance bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price. A performance bond is one executed in connection with a contract to secure fulfillment of all the contractor's obligations under such contract. 2. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price. A payment bond is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. 3. A Bid Bond is required to bid on this project and must accompany each bid. Failure to provide a bid bond at the time of the bid closes will disqualify the bidder. Bid Bond must be 5% of the amount of the project(s).
