Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Blainville, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and fire / police facility.

Upgrades, repairs and improvements to the City community centre and fire station no.8. The scope of work includes: Community Centre: - resurfacing of roof basins B1, B2, C11 and C16. Fire Station no. 8: - Replacement of metal roof cladding on basin B with elastomer membrane roof cladding; - Complete replacement of the waterproofing and insulation complex on the roof of basin C; - Removal and reinstallation of metal cladding around the basin to waterproof adjacent walls. TIMELINE: The owner has not accepted any of bids submitted to the tender for the general contractor SG2025-011 P/20044232 issued in early 2025 because of the bid cost overruns and cancelled it. No new tender was issued. It is undetermined now when or whether the project will proceed to construction. If a new tender is issued, it will be followed in a new separate report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
