CLASSIFICATION FOR THIS PROJECT SHALL BE:BC, BC-B, BC-b THIS PROJECT IS EXEMPT FROM THE MANDATORY AFORESAID CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING REQUIREMENTS IF THE BID AMOUNT IS UNDER $25,000, but the Phrase "EXEMPT FROM LICENSING REQUIREMENT" must appear on the bid envelope in order for the City to consider the bid as being exempt from this requirement. A BID BOND IS REQUIRED IF BID AMOUNT IS $100,000 OR MORE. Award of contracts will be made on the basis of the lowest and best bids as determined by the City of Memphis. This procurement may be subject to the requirements of ordinance NO. 5114 which establishes a local preference for local businesses located within the City of Memphis. A copy of your Memphis and Shelby County Tennessee business tax receipt must accompany your bid for consideration of this ordinance.
