Renovation of a municipal facility in Chardon, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond of 100% of the total amount bid, or a certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit pursuant to chapter 1305 of the Revised Code, in an amount not less than 10% of the total amount bid, as required by R.C. 153.54. The bid bond or guaranty must be submitted as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and it's performance properly secured. The successful bidder is required to furnish a performance bond in a sum not less than 100% of the total bid price for the complete work. The bid bond or guaranty shall be issued by an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and said company shall have local representation. The bond or guaranty shall meet the satisfaction of the County Prosecutor. Prevailing wage rates are applicable to this project. The Geauga County Board of Commissioners reserve the right to waive any irregularities, informalities, and to reject any and all bids received or any part thereof. Replacement of existing standby generators and automatic transfer switches at the Geauga County Department of Emergency Services and Claridon Tower Site buildings located at 12518 Merritt Road, Chardon Ohio. The scope of work includes removal of the existing generators, fuel tank, and automatic transfer switches, reconfiguration of the generator and transfer switches, placement of the new generators and automatic transfer switches, fuel conversion from diesel to natural gas, new reconnections, start up and testing.
