Piping Tunnel HTHW Valves Work covered under this contract includes but is not limited to supplying and installing ball trunnion isolation valves at various locations and of different sizes on the existing High Temperature Hot Water (400F, 400psi) distribution piping in the academic podium tunnel as shown in the drawings and as specified in the technical specifications. In addition, any work as further described in the General Requirements, This project will be installed in two phases over two summers in 2025 and 2026. All materials required for the project must be on-site on or before May 18, 2025. Installation work scheduled for summer 2025 must start on May 18, 2025, and must be complete by June 2, 2025. Installation work scheduled for summer 2026 must start on May 19, 2026, and must be complete by June 3, 2026. The campus High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) system is shutdown during this two-week window allowing for valves to be installed. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $ 1,500,000.00 for this project.
